Gefängnisarbeit
Ein wichtiger Teil unserer Arbeit sind regelmäßige Besuche in Gefängnissen. Unsere Mitarbeiter nehmen teil an Kontaktgruppentreffen in den Gefängnissen Wuppertal und Köln-Ossendorf. Jede Woche oder alle zwei Wochen finden dort Kontaktgruppen statt, wo freundschaftliche Beziehungen zu den Strafgefangenen aufgebaut werden können. Wir bemühen uns darum, ihnen Gott näher zu bringen. Gemeinsam lesen wir in der Bibel und helfen ihnen das Beten zu lernen. Hier fangen sie an sich zu öffnen und sind zu tieferen Gesprächen bereit. Anhand des Wortes Gottes arbeiten wir auch an den Problemen ihrer Herzen. Wir singen gerne mit ihnen zusammen, legen ihnen Zeugnis von unseren Erfahrungen mit Gott ab und predigen ihnen das Wort Gottes.
Wir möchten sie zu Jesus führen, damit sie Vergebung ihrer Sünden bekommen und das ewige Leben haben. Durch die engen Kontakte zu den Leuten, die Probleme mit Alkohol und Drogen haben, können wir sie direkt nach dem Gefängnis bei uns in der christlichen Drogenrehabilitation aufnehmen. Wir helfen ihnen ein neues Leben zu gestalten und sich in den Alltag zu integrieren.
